Technical delivery conditions

EI glass handling directions

  1. Due to the gel infilling, EI units can be extremely heavy. Please refer to the product datasheets for the specific weight of your product.

  2. Where suitable, weight rated glass suckers may be used to both sides of the unit of the standard EI glass makeup. On ISO units the weight of the unit should not be taken on the external solar control pane. Slings should be used to support the base of the glass and/or glass suckers may be used to the fire glass side only.

  3. Ensure glass is stored in a vertical or near vertical position at all times.

  4. Ensure no damage can occur to edge of glass during storage & handling.

  5. During storage, protect glass from exposure to rain and extreme weather conditions.

  6. Correct installation into framing systems will ensure the fire performance of the glass.

  7. During storage or transport, ensure that entire glass unit is supported at all times by evenly spaced wooden blocks.

  8. For internal grade glass, ensure the products are shaded but ventilated during transport or site storage.

Warning symbol: do not lean or tilt glass units against the floor edge
